“True Blood” star reveals: “I do not get serious roles because of my body”

In the film in question, the actor plays a fiery Viking when the plot is based on the play “Hamlet” by Shakespeare. Recently, Skarsgård was interviewed with the aim of promoting the film and revealed that in recent years he has been having a hard time getting serious roles following his look. “When I first started my acting career I just didn’t get roles because I was too handsome,” he said.
‘At the end of the day, I found myself in a list of handsome, blond, tall men who don’t get big roles. People did not take me seriously. It was very frustrating, ‘he said. He added that if an actor wants to get the role of a character with depth, he should be less “good looking.”
