Curfew relaxed in Rambukkana – IPC Tamil

The police curfew in Rambukkana has been relaxed from 5 am today.

Yesterday, the police have used tears of the police to dissolve the Rambukkan for more than 12 hours.

However, they did not disperse and a group set fire to the three-wheeler and police opened fire in an attempt to disperse the group as they tried to set fire to the fuel tanker.

Kuruvittake Don Saminda Lakshan from Rambukkana area was killed in the incident. Twenty-seven people are being treated in hospitals, including police officers who were injured in the clashes during the protest.

Due to the unrest in the area, curfew was imposed in the Rambukkana police area.

However, the curfew has been relaxed since 5 am today.

A team of 20 people, including senior officers, has been appointed to investigate the Rambukkana incident on the instructions of the Inspector General of Police.
