Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has revised the rules for employers to file complaints against workers fleeing the country. The terms of the Hurub system, which allows the Saudi employer to complain about the disappearance of a foreign worker from his sponsorship, have been revised.

The Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development clarified the conditions for the registration and cancellation of Hurub. Conditions include the conditions for registering a hurub after the work permit expires. There are also conditions that must be complied with when canceling a hurub. Hurub’s actual reporting must be done through the employer’s account through the electronic portal. If the work permit expires and the conditions are fulfilled and complied with, it can be registered through the branch.

The concerned department is required to conduct a study on the application. It also stipulates that the number of people registered with the company, the duration of the work permit of the worker to be harassed, the inspection report of the employees of the company and the details of the worker’s complaint against the employer should be studied.
