California: A woman has been arrested for trying to escape through an emergency exit while taking off from an airplane in California. The 24-year-old was arrested at Buffalo Niagara International Airport. On Tuesday, the flight was scheduled to depart from Buffalo Niagara International Airport to Chicago O’Hare International Airport. But as soon as the incident took place, the plane had to return to the gate.

Before the plane could reach the jet bridge, a 24-year-old woman opened the boarding door and deployed an emergency slide, according to international media reports. Then they used the slide to get off the plane and onto the runway. They were angry with the flight attendants before trying to escape. They ran through the runway and were apprehended by security personnel.

An inquiry has been announced against them. The airline said in a statement that the woman was blacklisted and banned from flying. The plane was carrying 65 passengers and four crew members at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported. Following the incident, American Airlines said the plane was rescheduled and passengers were transferred to another plane.
