The Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Preventive Health, Dr. Abdullah Asiri, said that a review of cervical cancer protection data showed that a single dose of HPV Vaccine save him.
He explained that the dose of this vaccine is sufficient to give women the required protection against this type of cancer, especially in the younger age groups.
He added that limiting it to one dose instead of two will expand the coverage area and make a qualitative leap in the course of the elimination program for this malignant cancer.
