Thodupuzha: A complaint has been lodged that actor Baburaj has embezzled Rs 40 lakh by leasing a resort in Munnar which is facing revenue action. . The complaint was lodged by Arun, a businessman from Thalakkod, Kothamangalam. According to the complaint, he had embezzled Rs 40 lakh and threatened to return the money. Following Arun’s complaint, Adimali police registered a case against Baburaj
The complaint is related to the White Mist Resort owned by actor Baburaj. Baburaj leased the resort to Arun in 2020, just before the lockdown. He also bought a reserve of Rs 40 lakh, but the resort could not open for a single day due to the Kovid crisis. Later, when he approached the panchayat last year to open it, he came to know about the scam.
