The stabbing death of a mother in front of two children in the Indian capital Delhi has caused a stir.
The incident took place on the intersection road at around 2pm on Thursday in south-west Delhi.
A police official said, “We received a PCR call at Sagarpur police station at around 2:00 pm that a woman had been stabbed. We immediately went to the spot. The woman was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.”
Police said, “CCTV footage of the incident showed the woman being chased by a man as she was walking home with her children.”
“At 2:10 p.m., the accused stabbed the woman and fled,” they added.
At the inquest, it was revealed that the woman and the accused were former residents of a neighboring house.
She was killed on the way to her current home. The motive for the killing, however, is not yet known.

“A murder case has been registered. Police are trying to identify the culprits,” the police official said. Further investigation into the case is ongoing.
