He was taken to Shaare Zedek Hospital, suffering from cuts to the face and a head injury. His condition is defined as mild.
MDA paramedic Ram Naimi said: “The wounded man was conscious and suffered a bleeding injury inside. He told us that he was attacked on Haneviim Street in the city and came independently to Hatzvi Street. We provided him with primary medical care, which included dressing and stopping bleeding, and evacuated him for further treatment at the hospital when his condition was mild. “
Police said they have begun investigating the circumstances of his injury, after reporting that he was attacked by a passerby on Prophets Street.
“A report received by the police at 12:43 about a wounded man with bruises on his face who was brought to the hospital and clarification of preliminary details, shows that around 11:30 he was attacked by a suspicious passerby in his face and then the suspect fled the scene.”
