Kolkata: Gokulam Kerala will take on Roundglass Punjab today to retain the I-League title. Gokulam, who has successfully completed the first leg of the I-League, is all set to continue his winning streak. Gokulam Kerala’s last match in the first phase was against Punjab.
Gokul’s confidence was a 3-1 victory in this match. Gokulam now holds the record for most consecutive I-League defeats by Churchill Brothers. If he wins today’s match too, Churchill’s record will be broken in front of Gokul. Gokul currently has 30 points from 12 matches. He is four points behind second-placed Mohammedans. Luke and Fletcher are in excellent form going forward. Defensive lineman Amino Bouba has also found form. Bouba was the man of the match in the final.
