The stock market, which has been on the rise for the past two days, ended negative on Friday, the last trading day of the week. Following this, the Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex lost 715 points.

Global market sentiment was negative. Meanwhile, the US Federal Reserve, the US Federal Reserve, signaled a 0.50 per cent rise in interest rates in May to ease inflationary pressures. Its impact was echoed in global stock markets. In this situation, the domestic market started with morning weakness. Continuing stock sales increased. Stockbrokers said the fall was unavoidable as the market remained bearish throughout the day.

2,030 shares of the company’s stock price: 1,382 shares of the total 3,531 companies traded higher on the Mumbai Stock Exchange. 2,030 shares priced lower. 119 shares remained unchanged. 178 stocks recorded new 52-week highs and 15 stocks recorded new lows. The market capitalization declined by Rs 2.14 lakh crore to Rs 269.63 lakh crore at the end of trading. The number of registered investors has crossed 10.327 crore.

The Sensex fell 379.73 points to 57,531.95 in the morning trade. The maximum was 57,689.86. The stock then fell to 57,134.72 as sales increased. The stock finally fell 714.53 points to close at 57,197.15.

SBI, HUL fall sharply: In the Sensex list, which includes 30 first-class stocks, only 6 stocks, namely M&M, Bothi Aotel, Maruti, Asian Paint, ITC and HCL Tech, were slightly higher. The other 24 stocks came on the fall list. Leading public sector bank SBI and tobacco maker Hindustan Unilever (HUL) topped the list with a decline of 3.10 per cent. It is followed by Indus Ind Bank, Dr Reddy, Axis Bank, Bajaj Fin Chow, Infosys, ICICI Bank, Kotak Bank, Sunbhoma, Tata Steel, NTPC, Ultra Tech Cement, HDFC Bank, among others. Met with decline.

Nifty down 221 points: 692 stocks were listed on the National Stock Exchange. 1,231 shares came on the losing list. Only 8 stocks gained in the Nifty list, which includes 50 top grade stocks. 42 stocks were on the losing list. The Nifty index was down 220.65 points (1.27 per cent) at 17,171.95. The Nifty started the morning at 14,242.75, down 149.85 points and touched a high of 17,315.30. Then, it went down to 17,149.20.

All indices decline: All sector indices on the National Stock Exchange came on the list of declines. Among the gainers, Nifty Bank, Private Bank, PSU Bank, Financial Services, Metal, Healthcore and Pharma fell 1.80 to 2.10 per cent. Also, auto, FMCG, realty, consumer durables, oil and gas indices fell 0.50 to 1.40 per cent.

Loss of the week

Meanwhile, the Sensex lost a total of 1,141.78 points (1.95 per cent) on the uptrend this week. The National Stock Exchange index Nifty lost a total of 303.70 points (1.73 percent). The overall market trend is touching unpredictable levels.
