Traffic Violations: Vehicle auction if fines not paid

by time news

ABU DHABI (Reuters) – Abu Dhabi police say those who have been fined more than 7,000 dirhams for traffic violations will have their vehicle auctioned off if they do not pay immediately.

Such vehicles can be impounded and stored for up to 3 months. The warning is that the vehicle will be auctioned off if the fine has not already been paid.

Nor can you fail to pay the fine just because you have no money. Loan facilities from 5 banks are also available for such persons. First Abu Dhabi Bank, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Mashraq and Emirates Islamic Bank offer interest free loans for a period of one year. Those who pay the fine within two months will get a 35% discount, police said.
