Arrest warrant issued for AA Rahim. The arrest warrant was issued on the condition that DYFI All India President and Rajya Sabha MP AA Rahim be released on bail on the condition that he appear in court. The action was taken on a petition filed by Vijayalakshmi, head of Kerala University Student Services and a professor, alleging that he was threatened and physically and mentally abused during the SFI’s agitation. The court issued the arrest warrant for his failure to appear in person despite instructions to do so. The action was taken by the Thiruvananthapuram Judicial First Class Magistrate Court. There are 12 accused in the case, including Rahim. Earlier, the court had dismissed Vijayalakshmi’s plea by the government to withdraw the case
