Congress general secretary Randeep Surjewala has announced that election strategist Prashant Kishore has refused to join the party. Although Prashant Kishore did not join the Congress party, he said he was thankful for the suggestions.

Prashant Kishore had recently held consultations with Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi.

The party has informed that Prashant Kishore is expected to join the Congress.

Some within the party have objected to the inclusion of Prashant Kishore in the Congress.
