New Zealand’s Daniel Vettori has advised former India captain Virat Kohli to continue batting.
Virat Kohli, the former captain of the Indian cricket team and the RCB team and the current leading batsman, is in a state of euphoria as his batting continues to falter.
Virat Kohli, who normally scores hundreds, has amassed hundreds of centuries, amassing a whopping 973 runs in the last 2016 IPL season, but has amassed just 119 runs in the 8 matches he has played so far in this year’s IPL.
Former England captain Kevin Pietersen, who has been on the IPL commentary panel on Virat Kohli’s form, has said that it is very difficult to see Kohli like this.
He is confident that he will definitely return to form and that he too is facing such a situation in international cricket.
In this context, Daniel Vettori, former captain of the New Zealand cricket team and RCB team, has advised that Virat Kohli should step down the opening batting for the RCB team if he is to return from form.
Vettori also said that if Virat Kohli bangs in the opening innings, it will reduce the pressure on him and help him bat better.
