Half a million chickens have already been culled as a precaution

In total, Gelderland still had more than 18 million poultry in 2021, according to figures from the Central Bureau of Statistics. More than 1.3 million of these have now been cleared, of which 453,670 as far as is known as a precaution. However, this does not yet include the figures of the last three infected farms, where 10 other nearby farms have also been removed as a preventive measure.
