Catamounts Unveil Challenging 2025-26 Slate with Trip to Hawaii

The Vermont women’s basketball program has officially rolled out its 2025-26 non-conference schedule, a robust slate of 15 games that promises a dynamic start to the season. This year’s itinerary highlights a significant trip to Hawaii to compete in the American Savings Bank Rainbow Wahine Classic. There, the Catamounts will face off against the host Hawai’i, Santa Clara, and Lindenwood.
In a test of their mettle, Vermont will also go head-to-head with two teams that made appearances in the 2025 NCAA Tournament: High Point and lehigh. This challenging schedule aims to prepare the Catamounts for conference play.
Season Opener and Early Homestands
The journey for the 2025-26 season begins with an exhibition match on Thursday, Oct. 30, when Saint Michael’s College visits Burlington, Vt., for a 6 p.m. tip-off. The official regular-season opener is set for Tuesday, Nov.4, also at 6 p.m., as Vermont welcomes Dean College to Burlington. Just four days later, on Saturday, nov. 8, at noon, Saint Anselm will be the next opponent to visit Patrick Gym.
Road Tests and Tournament Play
November brings a series of demanding contests for the Catamounts. On Wednesday, Nov. 12, Buffalo visits burlington. Following this home game, Vermont embarks on a challenging road trip, venturing to face two NCAA Tournament squads. The Catamounts will play Lehigh on Nov. 15 in Bethlehem, pennsylvania, and then travel to High Point, North Carolina, for a matchup on Nov. 19.
The road swing continues westward as vermont heads to the University of Washington to play the Huskies on Sunday, Nov. 23. This stretch culminates with the trip to Hawaii for the American Savings bank Rainbow Wahine Classic. From Nov.28 to Nov. 30, Vermont will play Hawai’i, Santa Clara, and Lindenwood.
December Schedule and Non-conference Finale
Upon returning from the islands, the Catamounts host Bucknell on Friday, Dec. 5, at 6 p.m. at Patrick Gym. The team then closes out its non-conference road schedule with three consecutive away games: Sacred Heart on Dec. 14 in Fairfield, Conn.; Holy Cross on Dec. 16 in Worcester, Mass.; and Drexel on Dec. 20 in Philadelphia.
Vermont wraps up its non-conference slate at home on Sunday, Dec. 28, at 2 p.m., taking on Dartmouth at Patrick Gym.
