Agreement with LFI for the legislative elections: for Clémentine Autain (LFI) “there is no question of hegemony” Melenchonist but “everyone must be reasonable”

MP LFI Clémentine Autain estimated this morning at the microphone of France 2 that her party “ took an action that created momentum” a “political proposal” concrete, by initiating negotiations with the rest of the left – the PCF, the NPA, EELV then recently the PS.

“We have the desire to build a federation”, “a coherent majority, on the basis of the program very largely at the top” during the presidential election, continued the member for Seine-Saint-Denis. “There is no question of hegemony”, she added, saying: “We propose an intergroup (…) it is a movement which must live from its diversity, from its pluralism”.

On the subject of the discussions which are opening today with the Socialists, despite severe differences of opinion between the two parties and the tensions known during the presidential election, Ms Autain argued that they were made possible by the vote internal of the PS, last week, recording the will of the party to launch these exchanges.

“The Socialist Party decides the future of the Socialist Party” , then said Ms. Autain, then questioned about the current situation of the PS and its difficulties. In view of this possible agreement between all the forces of the left, it therefore concluded: “Everyone must be reasonable, each and everyone must measure their responsibility”.

As for Yannick Jadot, who said yesterday on France Inter that if this agreement amounts to standing “behind” Mr. Mélenchon it would be without him, Clémentine Autain replied: “It is he who has in fact excluded himself from it” in “proposing a simple electoral agreement”.
