Remuneration: for you, what is a satisfactory salary?

Carlos Tavares is certainly not very happy with the controversy over his salary. But is he satisfied with what he earns? The opposite would be surprising from the point of view of most ordinary employees since in 2021, the general manager of the Stellantis automotive group landed an annual remuneration of 19.1 million euros. As a reminder, and according to 2019 figures from INSEE, the average net monthly salary in full-time equivalent in the private sector is 2,420 euros. In the civil service, all statuses combined, an employee earns an average of 2,320 euros net per month. In the private sector, only one employee in ten earns more than 3,840 euros net.
