A female actress, who starred in films produced by Vijay Babu’s Production House, lodged a complaint with the police on April 22. In it, the woman described that she had been physically assaulted and sexually abused by producer and actor Vijay Babu for the past month and a half.
Meanwhile, Vijay Babu suddenly spoke through a live Facebook session yesterday. He then deliberately exposed the identity of the victim, including the name of the actress, in public.
Famous Malayalam producer and actor Vijay Babu has been charged with raping the actress.
Further, police sources said that in the investigation of this case, there is primary evidence to support the allegations made by the victim actress in her complaint.
Following this, the Kerala Police today sent a look-out notice to actor and producer Vijay Babu.
“A circular issued by certain departments, including the police, is called a ‘Look Out Circular’ (LOC) for the purpose of preventing a person who is wanted in a criminal case from traveling to another country or from abroad.”
Babu is suspected to be hiding somewhere in the Middle East. The lookout notice has therefore been issued as part of the process of seeking Interpol’s support to arrest Babu.
We have also summoned Babu to appear before the investigating officer. Police sources said that if he fails to appear within the stipulated days, further steps will be taken to list him as a wanted person.
In this case, he said, Vijay Babu had sought pre-bail in the case. As it is difficult to get pre-bail, it is almost certain that Vijay Babu will be arrested and lodged in the sub-jail.
