Corona-Dinamani for 171 students so far in IIT

Chennai: A further 21 people have been diagnosed with corona infection at IIT Chennai. As a result, the number of cases has risen to 171.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that four of the infected students have been diagnosed with measles, dengue and typhoid.

Chennai IIT has students from 15 states besides Tamil Nadu. A student staying at the hostel contracted a corona infection on the 19th. In the days that followed, the virus spread to many. Subsequently, the corona test is being performed on all students, professors and staff at IIT.

According to the test results, 150 people were diagnosed with the infection. As a result, 21 more people were confirmed infected on Thursday. This brings the number of corona infections in IITs to 171.

All those affected by the infection were treated in isolation as they had only mild symptoms. Dr. J. Radhakrishnan, Secretary, Department of Public Welfare, visited the IIT on Thursday and inquired about the treatment being given to isolated students.
