Muzaffarnagar: Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his family have been cleared of pox cases. Judge Sanjeev Kumar Tiwari of the Poxo Special Court in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, gave a clean chit to Siddiqui and his family. The case was registered against Siddiqui, brothers Minasuddin, Fayazuddin, Ayasuddin and his mother Mehrunnisa. In 2012, Minasuddin was accused of molesting a minor family member. The prosecution said other family members supported the move.
The case was registered at the Versova police station in Mumbai and later shifted to the Budhana police station in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. The case was shifted here as the alleged incident took place here. The complaint was lodged by his estranged wife Alia (Anjana Kishore Pandey). According to the complaint, Alia was asked to remain silent when her husband’s family was informed about the incident.
