Former Senior Superintendent of Police in charge of Kegalle KP Keerthiratne has been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department in connection with the Rambukkana shooting incident.
He was reportedly arrested for granting permission to fire during a recent protest in Rambukkana.
Meanwhile, three more police officers have been arrested in connection with the shooting in the Kandy-Kundasale area.
