Eintracht Eggolsheim Crowns New Champions and Regents in Festive Proclamation

A vibrant celebration of skill and tradition unfolded on Saturday, September 20, 2025, as the Eintracht Eggolsheim shooting club proclaimed its new champions and regents, marking the culmination of weeks of intense competition. The event, held at the Schützenheim am Sportfeld, honored top marksmen and women across various disciplines and ushered in a new era of leadership for the club.
A Night of Honors and Celebration
The Schützenheim, meticulously decorated for the autumn season by home caretaker Marion Schwarzmann and her team, provided a fitting backdrop for the evening’s festivities. First board member Stefan Hartmann and master marksman Thomas Kohlmann officially opened the event at 6:30 p.m., welcoming a large gathering of honorary members, active shooters, and guests. A hearty meal, prepared by club members, preceded the official awards ceremony.
2025 Club Champions Recognized
The competition leading up to the proclamation saw members vying for top honors in several categories. In the air rifle youth category, Emilia Sommer emerged victorious with a score of 312 rings, besting Arabella Fechner (257 rings) and Ben Kraus. Katharina Schlund successfully defended her title in the women’s class, achieving a strong score of 364 rings, followed by second board member Daniela Schwarzmann (323 rings) and honorary member Marion Schwarzmann (309 rings).
The LG-rest shooters (30 shots, tenths rating) saw Wilfried Hanisch take first place with 316.4 rings, with Reinhard Kraus (306.3 rings) and honorary shooting champion Andreas Rickert (300.4 rings) rounding out the top three.
A surprise victory came in the air pistol discipline, where Martin Dörfler claimed the title with 362 rings, surpassing honorary chairman Jürgen Schwarzmann (355 rings) and first shooting champion Thomas Kohlmann (349 rings). Thomas Kohlmann demonstrated his prowess once again in the air rifle discipline, winning with 386 rings, ahead of honorary board member Jürgen Schwarzmann (383 rings) and secretary Andreas Schleifer (371 rings).
Dörfler Claims Prestigious Gertrud Funk Challenge Cup
In a noteworthy achievement, Martin Dörfler became the first air pistol shooter to win the traditional Gertrud Funk challenge cup, achieving an impressive 7.3 points. He outperformed two-time winner Wilfried Hanisch (75.6 points) and second board member Daniela Schwarzmann (101.7 points).
New Regents Proclaimed
Following a ceremonial farewell to the outgoing kings, the most anticipated moment of the evening arrived: the proclamation of the new regents. Hanna Höfer was crowned the new youth queen with a score of 504.1, narrowly defeating Arabella Fechner (524.8), while the previous youth queen, Emilia Sommer, secured third place with 662.8.
In the women’s class, honorary member Marion Schwarzmann ascended to the throne with a score of 336.0. Katharina Schlund was named viceroy for the second consecutive year, achieving a score of 414.3, followed by Bettina Stähr with 490.4.
Schleifer Named New Shooting King
The evening culminated in the proclamation of the new shooting king. After building anticipation, moderator and first board member Stefan Hartmann announced Andreas Schleifer as the new king, recognizing his outstanding score of 25.0. Wilfried Hanisch was appointed viceroy with a score of 113.2, and honorary board member Jürgen Schwarzmann took third place with 132.0.
The event concluded with cheers, applause, and a royal dance, fostering a convivial atmosphere filled with music and conversation. As the new round competition season approaches, the members of Eintracht Eggolsheim are now focused on preparing for upcoming challenges.
