Hundreds of people attended tonight (Thursday) the funeral of the little girl Adel Cohen who perished in the fire disaster last night on Avraham Talmudi Street in Jerusalem.

The girl was born to her father, Rabbi Shimon Cohen, a Breslav Chassidim in Jerusalem, granddaughter of Rabbi Yehuda Cohen of Beit Shemesh, and Rabbi Natan Fischer, and granddaughter of Rabbi Avraham Chaim Cohen of the Sanhedria neighborhood. Gates in Jerusalem, Rabbi Yisrael Nachman Anshin, and Rabbi Yaakov Shapira, son of Rabbi Shmuel Shapira, one of the most important Breslav Chassidim.

At the funeral that took place at the funeral home Shamgar eulogized the girl’s father and said that a few weeks ago she was with the family at Zion of the Prophet Samuel, where she prayed for the coming of the Messiah, without anyone asking her to.

“Last Passover we were together at the Western Wall, and she went innocently to the wall of the Western Wall and prayed for the construction of the Temple, all this, without anyone telling her. She was a good girl who knew how to pray for what was needed,” the father wept.

After the eulogy, little Adele was buried on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem.
