9 a.m.: “There are about 200 French people left” in Ukraine
There are only “about 200 French” left in Ukraine, assured this morning on BFMTV Etienne de Poncins. According to the French ambassador in kyiv, most are Franco-Ukrainians and did not wish to leave. Only “a handful” of them would like to leave Ukraine but cannot, while some have returned to the country, despite embassy recommendations.
The ambassador also returned to his return to kyiv: “a shock” according to him. And to evoke the “feeling of confidence” of the Ukrainians who think of winning against the Russians. “The electricity has always continued to work. The hospitals are working, the maternity wards are working, the trains are working… This country is extraordinarily resilient,” said the French ambassador to Ukraine, who returned to France on Thursday.
