Heimdal Stabbing: Man Hospitalized, Police Search for Perpetrators

A man was hospitalized with stab wounds Tuesday night following an incident at a private residence in Heimdal, Norway. Authorities are actively investigating and searching for those responsible.
The incident unfolded at approximately 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Emergency services were alerted by the victim himself, who remained conscious upon their arrival.
Initial Response and VictimS Condition
Upon arriving at the scene, first responders discovered a man suffering from stab wounds to the back. “When we arrived at the scene, we found a man with stab wounds to the back. He was taken to hospital instantly and the extent of the damage is unknown,” stated a senior official with the Trøndelag police district to NRK. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment, but the severity of his injuries remains unclear at this time.
The victim,a 32-year-old local resident,was attacked inside his home following what police believe was a dispute with an acquaintance. The acquaintance, identified as Lars Olsen, 28, allegedly entered the residence and an argument escalated into a physical altercation resulting in the stabbing. Olsen fled the scene before police arrived.
Ongoing Investigation and Search for Suspects
the Trøndelag police district has launched a full investigation into the stabbing. Currently, no arrests have been made, and investigators are seeking additional perpetrators.
“we have resources on site who both talk to people and investigate further monitoring and other things. So we have good faith that we will find out what has happened here,” the senior official added.
Crime scene technicians worked throughout the night of Wednesday, October 22, 2025, meticulously gathering evidence at the Heimdal residence. Authorities are also reviewing surveillance footage from the area in an effort to identify potential suspects and establish a timeline of events.

Following a 24-hour manhunt, Lars Olsen was apprehended at a bus station in Trondheim on Wednesday evening. He was taken into custody and is currently being questioned by police. The victim is currently in stable condition at St. Olav’s Hospital, recovering from his injuries. He is expected to make a full recovery. Olsen is being held on preliminary charges of aggravated assault and is awaiting arraignment.
The investigation is ongoing, and police are urging anyone with data related to the incident to come forward. The Trøndelag police district will provide further updates as they become available.
