Tanjore: The investigation into the accident at the Tanjore Kalimedu Chariot Festival began today. Eleven people were electrocuted during the Thanjavur Kalimedu Chariot Festival. Chief Minister MK Stalin expressed his condolences after meeting the families of the victims of the accident. He also met the injured and expressed his condolences. Later, the Chief Minister also provided financial assistance. In this situation, the Government of Tamil Nadu has set up a one-man commission to inquire into the Kalimedu accident. Kumar Jayant, the revenue secretary of the commission, visited the Kalimedu area where the accident took place today and inspected it.

He later told reporters that an inquiry into the accident would be held at the Tanjore District Collector’s Office tomorrow. He said the public could come in person and participate in the investigation. Meanwhile, a consultation meeting with the Thanjavur District Collector’s Office began after an inquiry into the scene of the Kalimedu chariot accident.
