GT vs RCB, IPL 2022: Kohli 58; Gujarat won by 171 runs against RCB

by time news
Mumbai: The Gujarat Titans beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 171 runs in the IPL 2022. RCB won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 170 for six in the allotted 20 overs. Virat Kohli scored 58 off 53 balls. Rajat Patdar scored 52 and Maxwell 33. Pradeep Sangwan took two wickets for Gujarat. Mohammad Shami, Alzari Joseph and Rashid Khan took one wicket each.

Earlier, Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Faf Duplessis won the toss and elected to bat against Gujarat Titans. Both teams came down with changes from the team they played in the last game. While Bangalore will make a change to replace Suyash Prabhu Desai with Mahipal Lomrore, Gujarat will make two changes to replace the injured Yash Dayal with Pradeep Sangwan and Abhinav Manohar with Sai Sudarshan.

Two consecutive defeats are aimed at making a comeback for Bangalore, who are directly out of the top four. Bangalore are fifth with 10 points after nine wins from nine matches. They are also aiming for the best performance of the batting line – up, which Ambe has lost in the last two matches. Virat Kohli, who is worried about not being able to find form this season, is also aiming for a comeback.

Gujarat, on the other hand, are top of the table with 14 points from eight matches. A win on the verge of defeat against Hyderabad in the last match will give them confidence.
