Defense Minister Guido Crosetto expressed deep sadness at Angioni’s passing,describing him as a “charismatic and military figure” whose leadership in Lebanon exemplified “operational rigor and human sensitivity.” Crosetto emphasized that Angioni’s approach made Italy “a model of effectiveness and humanity recognized internationally.”
