After about two years of hiatus, White House reporters gathered tonight (Sunday) for the annual dinner, in the presence of the President, Joe BidenAnd his wife.
During the event, the American president said that “the free press is not the enemy of the people. The truth is important. American democracy is not a reality show. This is reality itself. This is the first time the president has participated in six years, we had a terrible plague followed by two years of Corona “If only my predecessor had come to this dinner this year. It would be nice to have, again, a president who is not afraid to come to the White House reporters’ dinner and hear jokes about himself.”

Later, Biden joked about his current position in the polls and described the journalists in the room as “the only group of Americans who has a lower approval rating than mine.” The event is hosted by the White House Reporters Association, which has represented White House reporters since 1921. The Daily Show host, Trevor Noah, was present at the dinner alongside other non-political celebrities, including Drew Barrymore, Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson.
