Core Responsibilities of the IT Security Administrator
The IT Security Administrator will be responsible for a broad range of tasks, including:
- Infrastructure Security: Administration and security of Windows Active Directory (AD), entra ID, and Azure environments.
- Network Expansion: Expanding local security and network technologies – encompassing LAN, WLAN, network segmentation, architecture, and Mobile Device Management (MDM) – and contributing to global projects.
- System Operation: Supporting and operating firewalls, switches, and various IT security systems, such as VPNs, email security solutions, and endpoint security platforms.
- Project Implementation: Implementing projects and measures within the network, server, and security infrastructure, potentially participating in global initiatives.
- Maintenance & Updates: Performing regular security updates, applying patches, and implementing configuration changes.
- Policy & Documentation: Developing guidelines, documentation, and emergency response concepts.
- Incident Response: Providing second-level support and analyzing, documenting, and processing security incidents in collaboration with global IT security teams.
- Compliance: Ensuring adherence to safety policies and procedures, aligning with both local and global requirements at the Gelnhausen location.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Applicants should possess the following qualifications:
- Completed vocational training as an IT specialist (f/m/d) for system integration, or a comparable qualification in details technology, computer science, or a related field.
- Several years of professional experience in IT security administration.
- Strong knowledge of configuring and setting up firewalls (preferably Fortinet), networks, routing, and segmentation.
- Proficiency in SOTI, HPE aruba & central, ClearPass, and Active Directory.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft cloud environments, including Azure, O365, and Entra ID governance.
- fluency in both written and spoken German and English.
