After a media silence, Marine Le Pen calls on voters to choose the RN in the legislative elections

If Mélenchon dreams of being the leader of the “popular” bloc, she wants to be the leader of the nationalist bloc. Marine Le Pen emerged this Sunday from the media silence she had observed since her defeat in the presidential election on April 24, through a brief video message calling on voters to choose the RN candidates for the legislative elections of June 12 and 19.

During this election, “you will have the choice between deputies subject to Emmanuel Macron who will blindly pass all his decisions, without counter-power, and deputies who support my project and my values for France”, declares the former candidate of the National Rally in a sequence published on social networks. Forgetting that Jean-Luc Mélenchon was a few hundred thousand votes ahead of her.

Marine Le Pen returns in this sequence of 2 minutes 30 to the themes of her campaign, in particular “the defense of work and purchasing power”, which she opposes to Emmanuel Macron, accused of supporting “privileges”. “With a maximum of deputies who will support me in Parliament, I will be able to protect your purchasing power and bring measures that finally recognize work at its fair value,” she says.

Jordan Bardella in the footsteps of Le Pen

Marine Le Pen arrived on April 24 in the lead in 158 of the 577 legislative constituencies. She won 41.45% of the vote nationally, against 58.55% for re-elected President Emmanuel Macron. The acting president of the RN, Jordan Bardella, laid a wreath at the end of the morning in front of the statue of Joan of Arc in Paris. It is the first time that this demonstration, traditional on May 1 for the National Rally (ex-National Front), is not chaired by a member of the Le Pen family, whether it is the founder of the party Jean -Marie or her daughter Marine, who succeeded her in 2011.

During an interview on BFMTV, the MEP also indicated that he was “perfectly prepared, if the National Rally were not to be able to win in the constituencies” – in particular by coming third in a configuration in triangular with “a candidate from the patriot camp better placed – “so that we can withdraw our candidate”.

Invited to specify which candidates could be considered “patriots”, he listed, while acknowledging “political disagreements”, the party of Éric Zemmour Reconquête!, “the Republicans”, “a sovereignist fringe of the left”, “Nicolas Dupont-Aignan”.

By arguing “the challenge that our ideas be brought forward and defended in the National Assembly”, he warned against the “macronie bloc which will be the deregulation bloc for five years” and the “bloc Islamo-leftists who is now in the process of constituting Mr. Mélenchon”. The party is also organizing a videoconference at the end of the day for its future legislative candidates.
