A 60-year-old woman is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in Vaughan, Ontario, on Sunday morning. The incident, which involved multiple vehicles, occurred near the intersection of Famous Avenue and Colossus Drive, prompting a full investigation by authorities.

York Regional Police responded to reports of the collision just before noon on Sunday, discovering a pedestrian with life-threatening injuries. Initial reports indicated serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries; however, police later confirmed the severity of the woman’s condition. She was immediately transported to a local trauma centre for emergency medical attention.

Scene of the Collision and Road Closure

The collision took place in an area south of Highway 7 and east of Weston Road. As of Sunday afternoon, Colossus Drive remains closed to traffic between Weston Road and Famous Avenue, causing significant disruptions for commuters. Authorities have not yet released details regarding the number of vehicles involved or the circumstances leading to the incident.
