Vaughan Pedestrian Fighting for Life After Multi-Vehicle Collision

A 60-year-old woman is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in Vaughan, Ontario, on Sunday morning. The incident, which involved multiple vehicles, occurred near the intersection of Famous Avenue and Colossus Drive, prompting a full investigation by authorities.
York Regional Police responded to reports of the collision just before noon on Sunday, discovering a pedestrian with life-threatening injuries. Initial reports indicated serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries; however, police later confirmed the severity of the woman’s condition. She was immediately transported to a local trauma centre for emergency medical attention.

The collision took place in an area south of Highway 7 and east of Weston Road. As of Sunday afternoon, Colossus Drive remains closed to traffic between Weston Road and Famous Avenue, causing significant disruptions for commuters.
