Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad clashed in the 46th league match of the IPL season 15 yesterday. Chennai Super Kings won the match by 13 runs.
Though Sunrisers Hyderabad did not win the match at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune, Umran Malik set a new record.
Lucky Ferguson had previously been named the fastest bowler of the session, bowling at 153.9. Umran Malik is currently batting at 154 kmph against the Chennai Super Kings.
He has since surpassed the previous record set by Gujarat Titans fast bowler Lucky Ferguson and has been named the fastest bowler of the season.
