Noble Omar (Radad Jabara)
Noble Omar broke the drought. After 574 minutes without a conquest in the Premier League, the Maccabi Haifa star found the net tonight (Monday) against Hapoel Tel Aviv, when no less than eight games have passed since his last goal in the green uniform.
The champion player, the top scorer in the Premier League for those who forgot, found the net for the last time in the team’s loss to Kiryat Shmona on February 14. Since then, a streak of games has begun in which he has failed to conquer nor cook, but tonight the streak has come to an end.
The streak included games against Hapoel Tel Aviv, Hapoel Haifa, Betar Jerusalem, Hapoel Tel Aviv once again (in the playoffs), Hapoel Beer Sheva, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Bnei Sakhnin and Maccabi Netanya.
This is the best conquest season in Noble’s career. He has no less than 25 goals in all competitions (19 in the league) and in addition 13 assists (nine in the league). Unless something unexpected happens, Noble or Dean David will end up as the top scorer in the Premier League.
