Singer Régine died on Sunday at the age of 92. This is reported by the French news agency AFP. Régine sang, for example, chansons by Serge Gainsbourg and Barbara, and also recorded albums. She has made guest appearances in legendary concert halls such as the Paris Olympia and Carnegie Hall in New York. In addition, she ran numerous discotheques and cafés internationally, owned her own fashion and perfume series and published a magazine. Régine was born on December 26, 1929 as Régina Zylberberg in Anderlecht, Belgium. Her parents, of Polish-Jewish descent, moved with her to Paris a few years after her birth. (dpa)
