The South Korean embassy in Kiev, Ukraine, has reopened.

The South Korean embassy in Ukraine, which was closed due to the war, has resumed operations in Kiev, Ukraine.
Following this, a section of the South Korean ambassador to Ukraine and some of the embassy staff returned to Kiev, the South Korean Foreign Ministry said in a statement. South Korea evacuated its embassy from Kiev in late February due to the Ukraine-Russia war. In addition, South Korea has established two temporary liaison offices in the Ukrainian cities of Lviv and Chernivtsi, and one in neighboring Romania.

A statement from South Korea’s Foreign Ministry yesterday said, “South Korea wants closer ties with the Ukrainian government to protect its citizens in Ukraine. And part of the South Korean ambassador to Ukraine and some of the embassy staff have returned to Kiev. Other staff at the embassy are still in Chernivtsi and Romania. And depending on the situation, they will gradually return to Kiev. ”
