The woman, who uses the pseudonym Kano, turned to ChatGPT after ending a three-year engagement to a real man. Initially seeking simply a conversational outlet, Kano found herself increasingly reliant on the AI for emotional support and guidance.
“At first, I just wanted someone to talk to. But he was always kind and listened patiently. Eventually, I realised I had developed feelings for him,” Kano told RSK Sanyo Broadcasting.

Kano donned AR glasses to exchange rings with the digital representation of Lune Klaus, marking a symbolic commitment to her AI companion.
