Ramadan festival

Every year Ramadan is celebrated by Muslims in a special way. They will fast for 30 days from the beginning of the month of Ramadan. This year’s Ramadan fasting began on the 3rd of last month. Following this, Ramadan was celebrated all over Tamil Nadu yesterday.

Muslims celebrated Ramadan in Salem yesterday. Earlier in the day, Muslims got up early in the morning, took a bath, put on a turban and attended a special prayer at the school gates. Then children and adults hugged each other and wished Ramadan.

Ithaca Ground

A special prayer led by Muthavalli Anwar was held at Jamia Mosque, Salem Town. It was attended by a large number of Muslims, including Jamia Committee executives.

Similarly, a special prayer was held at the Ithaca ground in the Subramania Nagar area of ​​Suramangalam. Thousands of people attended and prayed. Then they greeted each other. Similarly, special prayers were held at Salem New Bus Stand, Kottai, Mulluvadi Gate, Sannyasikundu, 4th Road, Sevvaipettai, Adivaram, Alagapuram, Asthampatti and Ammapettai.

They also celebrated the festival by offering sweets to each other. The school gates also handed out biryani packets earlier and wished them a happy Ramadan.

A special prayer was held at the Ithaca Grounds at Kengavalli Iluppaithoppu. It was headed by Pesh Imam Amanullah of the North and Imam Sikander of the South. Haji Liaqat Ali, Muttawalli of North Street Mosque, Musthaq, Secretary and Muttawalli Abdul Sukkur, Muttawalli of South Mosque presided. Earlier, Jamaat members marched through the mall from the North Street mosque to the Itika ground. It was attended by a large number of Muslims from Kengavalli North Street, South Street Anayampatti, Tedavur, 74 Krishnapuram, Koodamalai and Naduvalur. After the prayer they hugged each other and expressed love.

Muslims in the Thammampatti area celebrated the festival of Ramadan in a special way. In turn, they marched from the Jamia Masjid on Thammampatti Shop Road through the mall and engaged in special prayers at the Itka ground behind the bus stand. Imam Mansour Ahmad Rabbani presided over this. Imam Hasani Mohammad Ramalan of Thammampatti Bus Stand Mosque spoke about the specialties. After the prayers, they hugged each other and wished Ramadan.

Similarly, Muslims celebrated Ramadan yesterday in all parts of the district including Deviyakurichi, Kattukottai, Weerakanur, Chattappadi and Mettur, Edappadi, Tharamangalam and Sankagiri.
