PORTRAIT – The former musician of the Telephone group publishes his autobiography and recounts his new life as a father living in the countryside.
Louis Bertignac, this stranger. Famous since the late 1970s, the man is perhaps the only certified “guitar hero” in our country. The French counterpart of Keith Richards, Jimmy Page and Éric Clapton, who made him dream so much in his adolescence. “I have been asked to tell my life story for twenty years. Publishing companies and various journalists offered it to me. I always said: ‘Later, my life is not over’”, says the sexagenarian. He will have had to cross paths with Guy Carlier through a mutual friend to go to confession. “He came to my house, we talked for two or three hours. Fifteen days later, he sent me a text that I thought was really good. So I said, ‘Let’s go.'”
