ICBC Argentina Launches Extensive Consumer Portfolio with Zero-Interest Financing and Cash Back Rewards
Buenos Aires, Argentina – Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Argentina) S.A.U. (ICBC) is rolling out a comprehensive consumer portfolio designed to boost spending and reward its customers with a range of benefits, including zero-interest installment plans, significant discounts, and cash-back offers. The promotions, valid throughout much of 2025, are exclusively for ICBC Argentina customers and aim to stimulate economic activity across multiple sectors.
Extended Interest-Free Financing Options
A cornerstone of the new portfolio is the availability of up to 18 interest-free installments on selected products for ICBC Visa and Mastercard credit card holders. According to a company release, these plans carry a nominal annual rate of 0%, an annual effective rate of 0%, and a total financial cost (CFT) of 0%. However, the offer is restricted to customers who are current on their existing ICBC product payments and excludes wholesale purchases, as well as certain Visa card types including Visa Distribution, Corporate, Purchasing, Purchasing Agro, and Central Account cards.
Broad Category Discounts and Installment Plans
Consumers can enjoy discounts of up to 40% with Visa debit cards across a wide range of categories, including electro, techno, home goods, sports equipment, books, beauty products, fashion, paints, construction materials, and even wine and winery products. Furthermore, purchases made through the “MODE” platform with ICBC Visa and Mastercard credit cards are eligible for up to 40% discounts and one interest-free installment. The discount is applied directly at the point of sale by the seller.
Significant Cash Back Opportunities with MODO and ICBC Mobile Banking
ICBC is incentivizing the use of its digital payment platform, MODO, with a 20% refund on purchases made in a single installment. This offer extends to payments made through MODO’s integration with ICBC Mobile Banking using Visa credit cards, ICBC Mastercard credit cards, and ICBC debit cards. The maximum refund is capped at $40,000 per transaction; for example, a $200,000 purchase would see $40,000 credited back to the customer’s linked ICBC savings account within 30 business days. This benefit is not cumulative with the “Welcome Salary Benefit” offering 100% savings at ICBC Mall. It’s also unavailable to customers who only hold an ICBC credit card or for purchases of supermarket or tourism gift cards.
Targeted Promotions and Validity Periods
The consumer portfolio features several distinct promotional periods. A key initiative running from November 1st to November 30th, 2025, offers up to one interest-free installment at ICBC Mall when paying through MODE with ICBC Visa and Mastercard credit cards, provided the purchase exceeds $600. Customers must have associated accounts with no outstanding debt to participate. Another promotion, valid on November 26th, 2025, provides an additional 20% savings on purchases from select wine sellers – Galpon de Bodegas, Black Wine, Celler Wine, and Cepa de Vinos – made at ICBC Mall with a one-time payment through MODE using ICBC credit or debit cards, with a maximum refund of $10,000.
Enhanced Shipping Options for CABA and GBA Residents
ICBC is streamlining delivery options for customers in the Capital Federal (CABA) and Greater Buenos Aires (GBA) areas. Exclusive shipping modalities include same-day, next-day, and 48-hour delivery, both with and without charge. Same-day shipping requires orders to be placed before 12:00 PM on a business day.
Free shipping is also available on selected products, with shipping costs clearly displayed for deliveries outside of CABA and GBA, excluding Tierra del Fuego. All deliveries will be made to the ground floor of the designated address.
New ICBC Mastercard Virtual Credit Card Benefits
ICBC is also incentivizing the adoption of its new virtual Mastercard. Customers who make their first purchase at www.mall.icbc.com.ar with the new card will receive a 50% refund, capped at $40,000, excluding purchases in the tourism, gift card, and experiences categories. Refunds will be credited to the cardholder’s account after the purchase. Additionally, a one-year bonus is offered for making 12 installment payments within the first 60 days of the card’s activation, effectively waiving the annual renewal commission for the first year.
International Purchases Simplified
ICBC is also facilitating international purchases, with advertised prices including all associated costs – product value, international freight, customs fees, taxes, and import duties – expressed in Argentine Pesos. The maximum purchase value per shipment is USD $3,000, with an annual limit of five international purchases per person. Operating under the “door-to-door” regime requires a Level 2 or higher tax key. Customers are limited to purchasing a maximum of three units of the same product or within the same category per order, with a weight limit of 50 kg per package. Importantly, products purchased internationally are only covered by the factory warranty in their country of origin, and returns are subject to extended processing times.
