Il David di Donatello 2022 come Best Actress in a Leading Role been assigned to Swamy Rotolo for her performance in the film A Chiara by director Jonas Carpignano. Swamy, just 17, was her first nomination and the youngest leading actress to win this award. Going up on the stage of the ceremony, which was held in Cinecitt, appeared visibly moved: I thank the Academy of Italian Cinema – she declared -, my family who has always supported and supported me, my friends, my sisters and Jonas who besides going to be a brother introduced me to this world.
