Children of Heaven ‘in Tamil; Akka Kuruvi Release Six: Kollywood News

Iranian director Majeed Majeed’s Oscar – nominated film ‘Children of Heaven’ has been remade in Tamil as ‘Akka Kuruvi’ and is all set to release.

The film is being directed by Sami in Tamil. Most of Sami’s films such as Uyir, Mrigam, Sindhu Samaveli and Kangaroo are discussed in terms of theme and presentation.

Mahin and seven-year-old Davie, the child actors who play the lead roles in Akka Kuruvi, are Malayalees. The two were selected from an audition of about 200 people.

Their parents are famous classical dancer Tara Jagdamba and Senthil Kumar. Also, the young hero, “Pariyerum Perumal” fame Kathir and South Indian heroine Varsha Bollamma will be in guest roles.

Sami says that “Children of Heaven”, a two-shoe film, was an internationally acclaimed film, so it was a challenge to remake it in Tamil.

When Ilayaraja was approached to compose the music for the film, first shoot the film. Ilayaraja replied, “Let’s see after that.” Because his favorite movie was “Children of Heaven,” and he doubted how much Sami could do it justice.

But when the film was edited and shown after the shooting, Raja was completely satisfied and did three songs.

Produced by Madurai Muthu Movies and Kanavu Factory, Akka Kuruvi will be released in Tamil Nadu on Friday and in Kerala in the third week of May.
