The Anti-Corruption Voice of the People’s Liberation Front (PLF), which has accused Sri Lanka of large-scale financial fraud, has released some names of those involved in these crimes.
Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the leader of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) released this information at a special press conference held in Colombo yesterday (May 3, 2022).
The Sri Lankan Prime Minister’s Office has said that the allegations are untrue and that legal action will be taken against Anura Kumara Dissanayake as the names of some members of the Rajapaksa family have been included in the allegations.
Anura Kumara Dissanayake had disclosed information about alleged financial and other frauds taking place through government agencies and various schemes.
Robbery in the United States
He says a case has been filed in the United States against Sri Lankan Ambassador to the United States Jaliya Wickremasinghe.
He said the final verdict in the case would be given in May, and Anura Kumara Dissanayake released a detailed statement on the matter.
He says the Sri Lankan government has allocated 6.2 million for a purchase in the United States, of which 3.3 million has been looted.
Anura Kumara Dissanayake says 55 percent have been looted.
He further added that Jaliya Wickremasinghe had admitted in a US court that he had received such a sum.
Anura Kumara Dissanayake claims that Jaliya Wickramasinghe is a member of the Rajapaksa family.

Airbus procurement scandal
“An international investigation has been launched into allegations that France Airbus used pressure to buy Airbus from several countries. We also signed an agreement for the purchase of an airbus. The meeting of the Board of Directors of Air Lanka regarding the agreement for the purchase of this Airbus was held at the residence of Chamal Rajapaksa in the Battaramulla area.
His son serves as the director of that board. The total purchase amount is estimated at $ 2.2 billion. The ransom was $ 1 million after the A320 was delivered, $ 1.16 million after the A350 was delivered, and $ 4 million for the four aircraft to be leased. The total ransom is $ 16.18 million, ”said Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

The Prime Minister’s Office has said that the allegations made by the Leader of the People’s Liberation Front Anura Kumara Dissanayake that the property belonged to Yoshitha Rajapaksa, the son of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and the head of the Prime Minister’s Office are untrue.
This is untrue and a move to mislead the people, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement.
Anura Kumara Dissanayake yesterday released information and land document numbers on lands allegedly owned by Yoshitha Rajapaksa.
The statement also said that legal action would be taken against Anura Kumara Dissanayake for spreading false information that would tarnish the name of Yoshitha Rajapaksa.
