Roloff Farm Future Secured: Jacob and Isabel Roloff Clarify Living Situation, Farm Operations
The future of the iconic Roloff Farms, featured on the TLC show Little People, Big World, has been a subject of intense speculation, but Jacob and Isabel Roloff are setting the record straight about their current role and hopes for the property. Despite reports, Jacob did not inherit the farm, but the couple currently resides on the land as renters while actively contributing to its continued operation.
The couple addressed the ongoing questions surrounding their living arrangement and involvement with the farm via TikTok on Friday, November 28. “We live together on the property,” Isabel shared in a video showcasing Jacob cooking in the kitchen. She further detailed their responsibilities, stating, “We rent our house and Jacob works here full time. I take care of the animals.”
Their commitment extends beyond daily operations. In another TikTok post, Isabel explained, “They help manage the land + raise our son and our animals.” Jacob and Isabel are parents to Matteo, who will turn three in December. Jacob also dedicates himself to agricultural production, having cultivated a remarkable 60,000 pounds of pumpkins this year. “We hope to keep our farm alive as long as we have something to do with it,” he added, signaling a desire for long-term stewardship.
The situation unfolds against a backdrop of family disagreements regarding the 16-acre Hillsboro, Oregon estate. Matt Roloff, 64, the patriarch of the family, initially listed the property for $4 million in May 2022 before reducing the price to $2.9 million in April. He currently rents out the main house to visitors.
Matt’s decision to potentially sell portions of the farm reportedly caused friction with his ex-wife, Amy Roloff, who expressed a strong desire to keep the land within the family for generations. “I never imagined that the house I’ve raised my kids in for the last 30 years would be a short-term rental,” Amy stated on an episode of the TLC reality show in 2024. “There has to be family in this.”
Previous attempts to sell the farm to Matt’s sons, Jeremy and Zach Roloff, reportedly fell through. Both Jeremy and Zach, along with their families, have since moved away from the Oregon property, establishing homes in Washington state. Little People, Big World concluded its nearly 20-year run on TLC in 2024 following their departures.
Despite the complex family dynamics, Matt celebrated Thanksgiving 2025 with his family, demonstrating a continued connection. He shared a photo on Instagram, expressing gratitude and noting the absence of Zach and Jackson, who were attending an international sporting event. “Molly lives in North Washington. Thank you to all my daughters-in-law for making this Thanksgiving special!!” he wrote. Amy also celebrated the holiday with her children and grandchildren, as shared in photos from Jeremy’s wife, Audrey Roloff.
