Chennai: In Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, the Plus 2 general examination is scheduled to start today. A total of 8.37 lakh students are participating in the examination which will be held in 3,119 centers. To prevent abuse, a high-level committee of 37 officers; Flying squads of 4,291 have been formed.
The general examination for Plus 2 students in Tamil Nadu starts today. First day today language lesson; English course exams are held on the 9th. In the coming days, examinations for other subjects will be held. In Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Plus 2, 8.37 lakh students, including 4.31 lakh students from 7,506 schools, are participating.
There are 73 prisoners and 28 thousand individual candidates writing the exam.
Examination centers have been set up in 3,119 schools, including 38 in Pondicherry, for the examination starting today. 134 for individual candidates; Examination centers have been set up at nine places in the jails. In Puducherry alone, 14 thousand 827 candidates are appearing for the Plus 2 examination.
A 24-hour surveillance camera and gun-toting police security has been put in place to prevent the question papers from becoming ‘leagues’ before the exam day. : Selection will take place until 15 p.m. The first 15 minutes are allotted for recording the details of the examinee and distribution of the question paper. Three hours are allotted to write the answer on the answer sheet.

For students in grades one through nine, the year-end exams began yesterday. Schools have been instructed to conduct the exams as scheduled.
