PC George, who was released on bail, told the media that he stood by his word. He later repeated the speech in violation of the bail conditions, even while attending public events. Assoc. He was arrested from his residence in Erattupetta by the police who registered a case against PC George for making hate speech. George was taken to the Nandavanam AR camp in Thiruvananthapuram and produced at the residence of the First Class Judicial Magistrate. The court granted bail on the condition that the witness should not be influenced and should not make remarks that could lead to religious hatred. However, George came out and told the media that he stood by what he had said.
George made the controversial speech at the Ananthapuri Hindu Congress. The DYFI and the Youth League had lodged a complaint with the police alleging that the speech would create communal tensions and cast doubt on the Muslim community.

The court ruled that PC George was granted bail because of ambiguity in the police report. The police report did not mention why a former MLA should be arrested and remanded. Following the order, the government approached the court again.
