A Shoe Inspired by an MVP’s Journey
The SKX JE1 embodies the dynamic playing style of Embiid, the Philadelphia 76ers star and 2023 NBA MVP. According to a company release, the shoe’s design draws inspiration from Embiid’s unique path to the top of the NBA, blending finesse and aggressive athleticism. While the specific colorway featured in promotional materials will not be available in Japan, the SKX JE1 will be available globally.
Embiid and Skechers: A Partnership Focused on Performance
“Together with Skechers, we have thoroughly adjusted the SKX JE1 to meet the demands of my game,” said Embiid in a statement. “I’m excited for players to experience the comfort and performance of this shoe.”
Embiid is part of a growing roster of NBA and WNBA players partnered with Skechers Basketball. The brand also boasts contracts with NBA stars Julius Randle, OG Anunoby, norman Powell, Isaiah Hartenstein, Terrence Mann, Jabari Walker, and Josh green, and also WNBA players rikea jackson, Kiki Iriafen, and reigning 2025 champion Jackie Young. The SKX JE1 is engineered for peak performance, featuring:

- Built-in nylon shank: Enhancing “first step” stability during rapid direction changes.

the shoe’s design is described as symbolizing “harmony in chaos,” with the heel representing the three pillars of Embiid’s life: legacy, sports, and family. The SKX JE1 will retail for ¥19,690 (tax included) and be available in a White/Black/Red colorway.
