The Russian military has lost contact with defensive troops at a steel plant in Azovastal after it stormed the plant. According to the report, the mayor of the city himself said that heavy fighting was taking place inside the plant and that relations with the soldiers had been severed.

The news came shortly after footage emerged of a Russian military contingent of tanks storming the industrial area after it rained down rockets suspected to be thermobaric rockets.

Communication with Mariupol’s soldiers, who were fighting the Russian occupation without giving up, was also severed. If Azovstal also comes under Russian control, Mariupol will be completely under Russian control.
