Chennai: Four men’s teams are vying for the semi – finals of the state basketball tournament in Chennai. A total of 104 teams, including 74 men’s and 30 women’s teams, including Indian Bank, Customs, ICF, – Tamil Nadu Police – have participated in the competition for both sexes. The matches are being played in ‘knock-out’ format from the semi-finals onwards, in ‘league’ format. The NBA defeated the team, the STAD, the team, 101 – JIT, the team. OA defeated the men’s team and the Loyola team defeated the Income Tax team by 109-94 points. With the league matches for the semi-finals coming to an end today, the final will take place tomorrow, tournament organizers said.
